Rally Reminds Mothers to be Close to the Church.
About 60 women from the St. Joseph Moli Parish, Sacred Heart of Jesus Wagina Parish and Nusabaruku women of St. Peters Gizo parish successfully ended their 4 days program at Wagina parish.
Their program commenced with the welcoming ceremony at Maneaba hall on the 5th of December. On the next day they had Thanksgiving Mass, orientation, parade and group photo.
A very peaceful and successful outcome of this rally reminded the mothers of their roles in upbringing their children close to the church.
They learned Catechism from Fr. Humberto; liturgy from Fr. Qelo and this nourished them for being good teachers in the family. Moreover, the topic of trauma and stress facilitated by Martha Horiwapu has challenged them to increase their personal strength, spiritual enhancement, and a deeper appreciation for life.
Also highlighted were some motivating activities like singing competitions, queen shows, custom dancing, etc., to keep alive their spirit.
The theme of the rally is “To live and experience good Christian and cultural values like Mary as our model”. This leads to valuing Mother Mary with the procession match at the closing from the beginning to the end of the village and to the Chapel.
The program ended on the 8th of December 2022.
