Progress to replace damaged Cathedral

Raymond Jio is expecting more temporary workers to speed up small constructive projects which are expected to complete by July. These temporary workers are from nearby areas and from Vanga holiday and former students.

The constructive projects are;

The second stage of fe ncing around the cathedral area

The second stage of the temporary Church hut (tent).Concrete tiles have been place inside and beside and expecting to be finished early July

The Garage which we are expecting for heavy machine for building a school here at Gizo

The Priest house which will located where the old YSato building is, which is the Family Life old office. The old foundation will extend to both sides and it will be a 2 story building. Suppliers for the buildings are on the move and timbers are still to come.

The cathedral tower had fallen during the 2nd April Earth quake and tsunami leaving only the mighty Cross which is now been pulled down. The new Cathedral building will be under contract by Volunteers from Italy and the site clearing will be on the move.
